Ted Lamade is a managing director on the Carnegie Institution for Science’s endowment team. In his role at Carnegie, he is responsible for sourcing new investments, monitoring existing managers, making asset allocation decisions, reporting to the investment committee, and working alongside the chief investment officer in all other areas relating to the $1.1 billion portfolio.
Areas of coverage include public and private equity, real estate, real assets, venture capital, and growth equity.
Prior to joining Carnegie, Lamade worked as a portfolio manager at Brown Advisory and was a vice president on the global interest desk at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
He holds an MBA from The Darden School of Business, an MALS in international affairs from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Virginia.
