Katrina Northrop is a seasoned journalist currently serving as the China Correspondent for The Washington Post since September 2024. Prior to this role, Katrina was a Staff Writer at The Wire China from June 2020 to September 2024. Katrina's early experience in journalism includes a position as a Research and Reporting Intern at The New York Times in 2018. Educationally, Katrina holds a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies with a focus on China from Brown University, completed in May 2019, and furthered studies with a Master’s in Global Affairs, specializing in Chinese Politics at Schwarzman Scholars from 2019 to 2020.
