Thomas Floyd

Thomas Floyd is an accomplished writer-editor with extensive experience in journalism, particularly in arts, sports, and pop culture. Currently at The Washington Post since April 2018, Floyd edits articles for style, grammar, accuracy, and clarity, while also serving as a copy and digital editor for the Sports section and an editor in Features. Previous roles include contributing writer and Express entertainment editor, where responsibility included managing the Entertainment section. Prior to The Washington Post, Floyd held editorial positions at GOAL, The Washington Times, and The Gazette, showcasing a strong background in sports journalism and content management. Floyd began a career in journalism at The Diamondback as diversions editor and has internship experience with D.C. United and the Central Intelligence Agency. Floyd earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
