Jacob Oster

Science Policy Fellow at The Water Institute

Jacob Oster is a PhD candidate and graduate research assistant at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi since September 2020. In September 2023, Jacob commenced a role as a Science Policy Fellow at The Water Institute, where responsibilities included reviewing research proposals, conducting fieldwork on marsh restoration projects, engaging with coastal community members, and preparing scientific manuscripts. Prior to this, Jacob served as a project scientist at Global Environmental Assessments and Response from October 2021 to August 2023 and held positions as an adjunct instructor at John Paul II Junior College, patient access representative at CalvertHealth, graduate research student at UMCES Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, natural resources specialist at Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and summer research intern at Juniata College. Jacob holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Juniata College.
