Summer Meza currently serves as the Deputy Editor at The Week, overseeing editorial strategy and co-leading a team of 15, while previously holding positions as News Editor and Staff Writer. Prior experience includes roles as a Breaking News Reporter at Newsweek and Editor in Chief at Spoon University, where Summer launched a food-focused website. Early career experiences include internships at Seattle P-I and 425 Business, along with a position as Section Editor at The Santa Clara. Summer holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Santa Clara University.
