Manuel Portillo

Manuel Portillo is an experienced professional in community engagement and leadership development, currently serving as the Director of Community Engagement and Director of the Immigrant Professionals Program at the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians since September 2014. Prior to this role, Portillo was the Director of Leadership Development at the Norris Square Civic Association from October 2010 to September 2014. Portillo's earlier experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Open Borders Project from August 2001 to May 2009 and as a Senior Organizer at the Eastern Pennsylvania Organizing Project from June 1995 to July 2001.
