Kate Skonberg

Kate Skonberg currently serves as the Director of Family & Community Engagement for the Hamilton County Department of Education, a role held since October 2018. Previous experience includes working at the Public Education Foundation, where Kate held multiple positions such as Teacher Engagement Coordinator and STEM Program Associate, managing teacher leadership initiatives and securing grants for professional development. Earlier roles include Associate Director of Resource and Professional Development at the United Way's Center for Nonprofits and Volunteer Coordinator at the Public Education Foundation, where Kate developed community support programs. With a strong background in nonprofit management, Kate also managed a volunteer program at the Creative Discovery Museum and coordinated services for clients with developmental disabilities at Community Connections. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
