Kate Pirilla

Kate Pirilla is an experienced art handler and exhibition technician with a robust portfolio in art conservation and management. Currently serving as an Art Handler at the University of Pittsburgh since October 2022, and with ongoing roles at Art Conversation Etc. and The Frick Pittsburgh, Kate specializes in the preservation and documentation of artwork and artifacts. Previous positions include significant contributions at the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, where Kate played a vital role in exhibitions and collections management. With a solid educational foundation consisting of a BA in Studio Arts and a BA in History of Art and Architecture from the University of Pittsburgh, Kate also brings teaching experience through various community outreach programs.
