The Whole Person
Scott D. Vroegindewey currently serves as an Independent Living Advocate at The Whole Person, Incorporated, since October 2009, where case management, peer support, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities are prioritized. Prior experience includes working as a Paraprofessional and Substitute Teacher at Hickman Mills School District from February 2006 to October 2009, assisting special education teachers and substituting during summer months across various grade levels. Earlier roles feature serving as a Senior Independent Living Specialist at West-Central Independent Living Solutions from June 1997 to September 2004, providing case management and life skills training for individuals with disabilities. Scott D. Vroegindewey holds a B.S. and is working towards an M.S. in Mass Communication from University of Central Missouri and University of Missouri-Kansas City, respectively.

The Whole Person connects people with disabilities to the resources they need by supporting independent choice and advocating for positive change in the community. The Whole Person envisions a fully accessible community where opportunities and choices are not limited by disability. Their core values influence how to interact with each other, guidehow to go about its work and fulfill its mission. They serve parents, spouses, siblings, and significant others of people with disabilities, hospitals, health organizations and the medical community.
