Gabriel Otero

Director For Equitable Funding Policy at The Wilderness Society

Gabriel Otero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental policy and organizational leadership. Currently, Gabriel serves as the Director for Equitable Funding Policy at The Wilderness Society and is also the Colorado Plateau Representative. In addition, Gabriel holds the position of Governor’s Appointee on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission since July 2022. Previous roles include Senior Campaign Specialist at The Wilderness Society, Regional Organizer in a self-employed capacity, and Supervisor at BOS Solutions, where Gabriel worked as a Solids Control Technician. Earlier experience includes serving as a Quality Control Manager for the U.S. Census Bureau. Gabriel holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Colorado Mesa University.
