Jenny Truax

Director Of Equity And Learning at The Wilderness Society

Jenny Truax is an experienced leader in equity and anti-oppression work, currently serving as the Director of Equity and Learning at The Wilderness Society since February 2023. With a background as a Program Associate at NCCJ St. Louis since September 2016, Jenny implements anti-oppression programs and guides the incorporation of equity principles into organizational practices. Previously, as a National Organizer and Content Developer for Crossroads Antiracism Organizing & Training, Jenny developed anti-racist resources and facilitated webinars. From 1998 to 2020, Jenny co-managed Karen House, a transitional housing shelter, and contributed to community education on equity issues. Earlier experience includes coordinating programs for The Catholic Action Network for Social Justice and organizing advocacy campaigns. Jenny holds a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University.
