Katurah Mackay is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in environmental advocacy and strategic communications. Since October 2013, Katurah has held multiple leadership roles at The Wilderness Society, including Director of Donor Communications and Principal Communications Director for Landscape Connectivity, focusing on storytelling and community engagement around the protection of lands and waters. Prior to this, Katurah served as Deputy Director and Interim Executive Director at the Arizona Wilderness Coalition, where strategic planning and collaborative partnerships were key responsibilities. Katurah’s earlier roles include Communications Manager at Clean Air - Cool Planet and News Editor for National Parks Conservation Association, showcasing a robust background in conservation communication. Katurah holds a Master's degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School and a BA in English and American Studies from the University of Virginia.
