Director Of Equitable Access Policy at The Wilderness Society

Paul Sanford is an experienced public policy advocate and legal professional with a diverse background in outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship. Currently serving as the Director of Equitable Access Policy and National Director of Recreation Policy at The Wilderness Society since April 2011, Paul works to connect communities to America’s public lands through strategic partnerships and coalition leadership. Previous roles include board membership at the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education, risk management consulting for the National Safe Boating Council, and various lawyer positions at the American Canoe Association and the Federal Election Commission. Paul holds a J.D. from The University of Toledo College of Law and a B.S. in Communications from Ohio University.
