Wordna M. has extensive experience in leadership roles focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion, currently serving as Vice President of People & Culture and previously as Vice President, Equity, Culture, & Learning at The Wilderness Society since July 2018. Prior to this, Wordna held various positions at District of Columbia Public Schools from 2014 to 2018, ending as Manager of Equity & Diversity, and worked as National Field Director for Partnerships & Expansion at GirlTrek from 2013 to 2014. Additional roles include Community Outreach Consultant at the DC Chamber of Commerce & Build Our Kids Success from 2011 to 2013 and Operations & Communications Manager at the DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative, Inc. from 2009 to 2011. Wordna's academic credentials include a BA in History from Harvard University, a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Leadership Coaching Certificate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Rochester.
