Marta Symkowick

Marta Symkowick is an emerging writer and editor with experience in various publication roles. Currently serving as a Writer for the History Features Beat at The Williams Record since January 2022, Marta also holds the position of Poetry Director at Williams Literary Magazine, where coordination of the revision process and consultation on layout and design for poetry pieces are key responsibilities. Prior experience includes a Research Intern role at STAT Revenue, where data analysis and auditing of patient Medicare accounts were conducted, and an investigative internship at The Piedmont Exedra, leading to significant contributions to local history education. Marta's leadership as Editor in Chief of The Piedmont Highlander culminated in national recognition, including a finalist award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Marta is currently pursuing an education at Williams College, having previously graduated from Piedmont High School.
