Donovan Lockett

Donovan Lockett is an experienced teaching artist and coach specializing in theatre and fitness. Since October 2018, Lockett has taught theatre techniques to students in grades 1-12 at Walnut Street Theatre and has contributed to various educational programs, including the Disney Musicals in Schools program. Lockett currently leads strength-training workouts at [solidcore] and serves as a teaching artist for multiple organizations, such as Philadelphia Young Playwrights and Theatre Horizon, focusing on playwriting, devised theatre, and performance for diverse age groups. Additional roles include standardized patient work with Penn Medicine and simulated patient performances for medical professionals at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Lockett holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Ithaca College and has attended prestigious arts academies for high school education.
