Liz Delzell

School Librarian / Resource Center Director at The Winnetka Public Schools

Liz Delzell has a diverse work experience in education and librarianship. Their most recent position was as a Teacher-Librarian and Resource Center Director at The Winnetka Public Schools since 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Library Media Specialist and Library Media Center Director at Lake Zurich CUSD 95 from 2012 to 2019. Liz also served as a Reference/Youth Services Librarian and Children's Programmer at Woodstock Public Library in 2011, and as a Youth Services Assistant at Fox River Grove Memorial Library from 2007 to 2011. Liz started their career as a 5-8th grade teacher at The Diocese of Rockford from 2003 to 2006, and then taught 7th-8th grades at Archdiocese of Chicago from 2001 to 2003.

Liz Delzell attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1996 to 2001, where they earned two Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science. Liz returned to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2009 and completed their Master's degree in Library & Information Science in 2011. In 2016, Liz Delzell enrolled in Dominican University and obtained a Master's Degree in Education in 2018.
