LaShena Honore, CPA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. LaShena started their career as an Audit Associate at Johnson Lambert LLP from October 2011 to August 2013, where they performed analytical reviews, reviewed client accounting procedures, and conducted fieldwork for audits.
LaShena then worked as a Senior Property Accountant at Madison Marquette from August 2013 to June 2015, overseeing tasks such as reviewing and approving work, preparing tenant account analysis, and reviewing accounts payable vouchers.
Next, they joined E*TRADE as a Senior Corporate Accountant from June 2015 to March 2017. In this role, they performed journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting analysis for assigned areas, and provided variance analysis to upper management.
Most recently, LaShena has been working at the Wireless Infrastructure Association since March 2017. LaShena started as an Accounting Manager, responsible for month-end and year-end close cycles, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. LaShena also managed accounts receivable functions, processed payroll, and handled customer inquiries and collections.
Later, they were promoted to Assistant Controller, where they continued to contribute to the achievement of departmental goals. Currently, LaShena holds the position of Controller at the Wireless Infrastructure Association, utilizing their expertise in finance and accounting to effectively oversee the organization's financial operations.
LaShena Honore, CPA completed their education in the field of accounting. LaShena obtained a BBA degree with a concentration in Finance from William & Mary – Raymond A. Mason School of Business between 2006 and 2010. Later, they pursued a Masters of Accounting from the same institution for the year 2010-2011. LaShena Honore also holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, which they obtained from VBOA - Virginia Board of Accountancy in May 2013.
