Freya Giles is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in communication and training. Currently serving as a Mentor for the Mentorship Programme for Women Leaders at The Women's Foundation since September 2022, Freya has also founded The Giles Academy, where high-impact communication training is offered based on decades of research and practical experience. Additionally, Freya established The Giles Agency in 2006, a creative agency operating in Hong Kong and Singapore, providing support to prominent organizations in the region. Previous roles include Founder, Editor, and Copywriter at The Written Word from 2003 to 2006, and Editor at Pearson from 2001 to 2003. Freya holds a BA Joint Honours in French and Philosophy from the University of Leeds and a short course in Interculturally Speaking from the University of Oxford. Currently pursuing a coaching certification at The Coaching Academy, Freya continues to enhance professional skills and expertise in the field.

We are a non-profit organisation (registered charity number 91/6962) established in 2004 and dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in Hong Kong through ground-breaking research, impactful and innovative community programmes, and education, media engagement and advocacy. Our three key focus areas are challenging gender stereotypes, increasing the number of women in decision-making and leadership positions, and empowering women in poverty to achieve a better quality of life for themselves and their families.
