Rene Montoya

Rene Montoya has a diverse work experience in the education sector. They started their career as a Research Intern at Azusa Pacific University in 2011 and later worked as a Math Tutor and Children's Ministry Intern in the same institution. They also served as an Azusa Calculates Tutor, providing math tutoring services.

In 2014, Rene joined Citizen Schools as a Middle School Mathematics Teacher and then moved on to West Town Academy as a Mathematics Teacher in 2015. In 2017, they worked as an Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium, providing math tutoring to K-12 students.

Since 2017, Rene has been working at The Wonderful Company as a College Success Coach, where they support students from the Central Valley region of California with their journey towards higher education. They provide college advising, mentoring, resource gathering, financial aid support, scholarship eligibility guidance, and math tutoring.

Currently, Rene is studying at USC Viterbi School of Engineering, expecting to complete a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2022 to 2025.
