Ajay Bharwani has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ajay is currently serving as the Group CIO & Head of Digital Transformation at Writer Corporation, a market leader in Global Relocations and Information Management Services. Prior to this, Ajay worked at Lupin, the third largest pharmaceutical company in India/US, where they held the position of Global Head of IT/Technical Applications, overseeing operations, projects, and initiatives in social/mobile/analytics/cloud/RPA. Before joining Lupin, they were an Executive Director at EY, where they provided IT advisory services in Africa, India, and the Middle East. Ajay also spent several years at SAP, where they held various positions including Director of Portfolio & Program Management and Head of Service Portfolio Management. Ajay began their career at PwC India as a Lead Consultant in Management Consulting Services. Additionally, Ajay has worked at L&T Infotech, Alliance Control Engineering, UHDE GmbH, and ATV Projects India Ltd in various engineering and project management roles.
Ajay Bharwani's education history begins with a Diploma in Engineering (Dipl. Engg.) in Industrial Electronics from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai, which they obtained between 1984 and 1987. Ajay then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Instrumentation from the University of Mumbai, completing it from 1987 to 1990.
In terms of certifications, Ajay obtained the Certified Application Consultant - Project System certification from SAP in September 2000. Ajay further achieved the Certified Application Consultant - ASAP Implementation certification from SAP in October 2002. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Solution Consultant - Business Warehouse certification from SAP in September 2004. In September 2005, Ajay acquired the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute. Finally, in May 2016, they obtained the ITIL V3 Foundation Certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
Most recently, Ajay has been studying Digital Strategy Leadership at the Indian School of Business, with an expected completion date in 2021.
