Russell Murphy

Russell Murphy has over 17 years of work experience in the media industry. Russell is currently the Head of Client Team at the7stars. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Comms Planning Director at OMD UK from 2014 to 2016. Before that, they were the Youth Planning Director at Target Media from 2010 to 2014. Russell started their career as an Account Executive at Viacom Brand Solutions in 2002 and later became an Account Director, where they managed a portfolio of agencies and maximized revenue through negotiation and relationship building. Russell also has experience as a Sales Executive at Granada Channels from 2000 to 2002.

Russell Murphy attended the University of Nottingham from 1996 to 1999, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts Joint Honors degree in English and American Studies. Russell achieved a 2.1 grade in their field of study. Following this, from 1999 to 2000, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education specializing in Secondary English.
