Dan Orzechowski

Dan Orzechowski has over 18 years of experience in the software engineering field. Dan is currently working as the Principal Software Engineer - Front End Lead at Alethea Group since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Staff Engineer at Pill Club from August 2020 to January 2022. In 2020, they briefly stepped away from the industry to fulfill the role of Dad at Coronavirus Downsizing Casualties Ltd from March to August.

Before their time at Pill Club and Alethea Group, Dan worked at Wanderu, Inc as both a Lead Frontend Developer from September 2018 to March 2020, and a Senior Frontend Developer from April 2017 to March 2020. Dan'srole at Wanderu involved leading and developing frontend solutions.

From December 2015 to April 2017, Dan served as a Senior UI Engineer at Rapid7. Dan was responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining features for the Insight suite of products. Dan also contributed to the migration of the codebase to React+Redux from legacy technologies.

Before joining Rapid7, they worked as a Software Engineer at Pearson Learning Solutions from August 2014 to December 2015. In this role, they focused on creating, maintaining, and improving high-volume, high-uptime web applications and REST API services.

Dan's career began in 2003 at SAIC, where they worked as a Software Engineer until November 2005. Dan then moved on to MRV Communications, holding the role of Software Engineer from November 2005 to April 2008.

The majority of their early career was spent at Corero Network Security, previously known as Top Layer Security. Dan served as a Software Engineer and later as the Lead GUI Software Engineer from April 2008 to August 2014. Dan'sresponsibilities included maintaining cross-platform applications, designing and developing web sites, and contributing to the design and functional specifications of new features.

Throughout their career, Dan Orzechowski has gained expertise in a variety of technologies, including Java, JavaScript, jQuery, Backbone.js, CSS, and node.js. Dan'sskills also include working with frameworks like React, Redux, and Webpack.

Dan Orzechowski graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
