Alex Currie

Alex Currie is currently the Director of Artistic Operations at Theatre Calgary. Prior to that, they were the Director of Production & Operations at the Belfry Theatre from June 2013 to June 2019. Alex has also worked as the Production Manager at Chemainus Theatre Festival from February 2011 to June 2013 and Green Thumb Theatre from July 2007 to February 2011. Alex started their career as a Resident Stage Manager at Chemainus Theatre Festival from January 2002 to July 2007.

Alex Currie received their Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Windsor in Theatre/Theater - Performance Focus. They also have certifications from Coursera in Introduction to Project Management with ClickUp and COVID-19 Contact Tracing.

Alex Currie works with Jane MacFarlane - Resident Voice Coach, Adam Schrader - Technical Director, and Susan McNair Reid - Company Manager. Alex Currie reports to Stafford Arima, Artistic Director.
