Lucy Evans FCIPD is an experienced human resources professional with a diverse background in various industries, including the arts, entertainment, and retail. As a current Trustee/NED (People & Capability) at Theatre Peckham since April 2024, Lucy continues to contribute to the cultural sector. Previously, Lucy served as Head of HR & Training at Ascot Racecourse, overseeing a team and managing HR operations for a large workforce. Other notable roles include Senior HR Business Partner at Toshiba and HR Business Manager at Waterstones. Lucy's career began at Sainsbury's and John Lewis, building a strong foundation in HR practices. Educated at Kingston University with a Master's in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor's from the University of Surrey, Lucy brings a strategic and operational focus to HR leadership.

Theatre Peckham is a learning theatre, that nurtures creativity, talent and ambition. At Theatre Peckham we offer an extensive range of acting, singing, dance and musical theatre class at an affordable rate. All our work encourages, supports, and nurtures children and young people to discover the magic of theatre, and to develop their potential as young audiences, artists and theatre professionals of tomorrow. Lead by Artistic Director, Suzann McLean, and a wide range of creative professionals, Theatre Peckham creates highly engaging theatre productions which reflect and promote the diversity of the local area. The casts include a unique mix of professional actors, and young people from the workshops, and young apprentice actors aged 16+. The high quality of our productions attracts large, excited audiences, challenging perceptions of Peckham and its young people’s talents for creative participation. This highly individual model provides a fun and structured means to progress from participation to professional performance as well as offering young people and developing artists a range of development and professional opportunities to help them get to where they want to go,
