Bharath Shamasunder began their work experience as a Software Engineer at Accenture in 2011. At Accenture, they focused on prototyping, developing, and maintaining biometric systems on mobile platforms. Bharath integrated face, speech, and fingerprint recognition systems with mobile devices and worked on biometric sensor integration. In 2013, Bharath joined the University of Texas at Dallas as a Graduate Student. During their time there, they took courses on digital/statistical signal processing, pattern recognition, speech recognition, and robotics engineering. Bharath gained experience in computing, math, and modeling using MATLAB and Python, and worked with graphical models and recurrent neural networks to model and classify temporal phenomenon. Bharath then joined Theatro in 2014 as a Speech Intern and later became a Speech Scientist in August 2015.
Bharath Shamasunder pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ramaiah Institute Of Technology, attending from 2007 to 2011. Later, they went on to complete their Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, studying from 2013 to 2015.
