Robert Hughes-Penney has extensive experience in investment management, currently serving as Investment Director at Rathbones Group Plc since 1993, with roles including Board Director and various committee chair positions. In addition to work at Rathbones, Robert holds the position of Alderman at the City of London Corporation, where involvement includes membership on multiple committees and a forthcoming role as Sheriff. Robert is also engaged with several organizations, serving on the Business Council of TheCityUK, as a Board Member for the Impact Investing Institute and The CISI, and as a Non-Executive Director for Investing for Good. Previous experience includes serving as Common Councilman with notable committee leadership roles and an Army Officer in the British Army prior to entering finance. Robert obtained a BSc (Hons) in European Studies and Geography from The Manchester Metropolitan University and completed the Standard Graduate Course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
