Maria Vanegas

Maria Vanegas currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at TheDream.US since December 2022, following a tenure as Sr. Finance and Operations Manager. Prior to this, Maria held the position of Associate Director of Financial and Administrative Services at Hunter College from January 2018 to December 2022. Earlier experience includes managing a Follett store with annual sales exceeding $2 million and a team of 30-35 from 2012 to December 2017, where responsibilities included budget control and staff training. Additionally, Maria completed a research internship at the National Institute for Reproductive Health/NARAL Pro-Choice New York in early 2016, focusing on reproductive policies in major U.S. cities. Maria earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Baruch College and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Florida.
