Polina Vasileva

Polina Vasileva's work experience includes positions at three different companies. Polina started their career as a Scientific Researcher at SOLab in 2016, where they contributed to the improvement of algorithms for processing satellite data. Polina also gathered and analyzed data on extratropical and polar cyclones, and wrote articles for scientific journals and participated in conferences. In 2018, they joined EPAM Systems as a Test Automation Engineer, where they provided QA support for a product and was involved in the Agile SDLC. Polina also focused on improving test automation solutions to increase overall coverage and reduce bugs. Currently, in 2022, Polina is a QA Automation Engineer at TheGuarantors, where they develop and executes manual and automation test scripts using JavaScript, TypeScript, and PlayWright. Polina also contributes to the development and maintenance of the test automation framework and manages project-related documents on GitHub.

Polina Vasileva completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrometeorology at Saint Petersburg State University from 2010 to 2014. In 2016, they were an exchange student at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, studying Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing. From 2015 to 2017, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Satellite Oceanography at Russian State Hydrometeorological University. Finally, from 2017 to 2018, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Satellite Oceanography from the same university.
