Sage Wright

Sage W. is a seasoned bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in data analysis and genomic research. Currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Developer and previously as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Theiagen Genomics since February 2022, Sage has contributed to various research projects focused on genomic data. Prior roles include Bioinformatician at the Pennsylvania Department of Health, where responsibilities included establishing a cloud-based bioinformatics infrastructure for SARS-CoV-2 genome analysis. Sage's academic background includes a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Genomics from Penn State University, complemented by research work across multiple laboratories analyzing genetic variants and structural changes using advanced sequencing technologies. Earlier research experience at Brigham Young University involved analyzing metabolic pathways and identifying significant SNPs associated with Alzheimer's disease.
