Dimo Angelov

Dimo Angelov is a skilled data science professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Data Scientist at Thema since May 2023, Dimo previously held positions as Senior Data Scientist and Software Systems Developer at the Government of Canada from December 2017 to May 2023. Dimo's career includes a contracting role as a Data Analyst at Pacific Life Re, where responsibilities included implementing a global SAP system for reinsurance data analytics and designing ETL processes. Dimo also garnered valuable experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Western University, focusing on machine learning techniques for cancer therapy response, along with roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in multiple computer science courses. Dimo's early career featured an IT Consultant position at Middlesex-London Health Unit and an internship as a Software Developer at CMC Bulgaria Ltd. Dimo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Ottawa.
