Alana D. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Alana currently holds the position of VP Marketing at Thematic, where they have been working since 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Marketing at Thematic from April 2022 to June 2023. Before joining Thematic, Alana worked as a Product Marketing Manager at the same company from March 2021 to March 2022.

In this role, they conducted and presented research on HIV and food insecurity in various African countries, providing advisory services to NGOs and the public sector.

Alana D. obtained a Bachelor of Business Studies degree in Marketing from Massey University, which they attended from 1998 to 2001. In 1994, they earned a BLS degree in Sports, Health, and Human Performance from The University of Waikato. Alana returned to Massey University in 2019 and completed a program in Communication in Sciences in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Alana has also acquired several certifications. In 2017, they completed the "Data-driven Decision Making" course from Coursera. In the same year, they also obtained the "Sales Foundations" certification from LinkedIn. In 2020, they completed the "Agile MBA" program offered by The Job Hackers. Most recently, in 2021, they acquired certifications in "A Design Thinking Approach to Putting the Customer First" and "Journey Mapping: Case Study in Action," both from LinkedIn.
