Nick Stroud started their work experience in 2003 at GMR Marketing, LLC, where they held progressive account and client management roles for Altria. Nick successfully managed the strategy, contracting, and programs for the Marlboro lifestyle marketing program and led the security planning for the Marlboro 50th Anniversary event. In 2008, they joined ManpowerGroup as a Product Marketing Manager and later held positions as Manager of Healthcare Solutions, Program Manager of Customer Loyalty, and Director of Brand Loyalty. Nick led a team that built and oversaw ManpowerGroup's customer strategy in North America and developed and led a new vertical business unit focusing on healthcare solutions. In 2011, they became a Board Member and Past Board Chair at The Ability Center, working towards making the Milwaukee area more accessible for individuals with disabilities. Since 2018, they have been the VP of Customer Operations at Thematic, leading the insights platform for enterprise and product companies.

Nick Stroud attended Marquette University High School from 1993 to 1997, where they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Nick then pursued higher education at Xavier University from 1997 to 2002, earning a Bachelor's degree. The field of study for their Bachelor's degree is not provided. In addition to their formal education, Nick obtained additional certifications in Introduction to Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania / Wharton School (Coursera) in July 2014, and in Competitive Strategy from the University of Munich (Coursera) in May 2014.
