Ziming Liu has extensive work experience in the field of visual effects and motion graphics. Ziming began their career as an Apprentice Artist at WHISKYTREE, where they worked on projects such as The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1 and Tomorrowland. Ziming then worked as a Lighting/Compositing Artist at Luma Pictures and a Freelance 3D/Motion Graphics Designer at Prologue. Ziming also gained experience as a Freelance Lighting Artist at Framestore and as a CG Artist at Ingenuity Engine.
In 2015, Ziming interned at Samsung Research America as a Motion Graphics Design(UI/UX) Intern and later joined the company as a CG Lighting Lead at The Mill. During their time at The Mill, they managed the lighting team and worked on projects for Bungie and EA-RESPAWN, including the popular game Apex Legends.
Ziming also worked as a Graduate Mentor at Savannah College of Art and Design and became a member of the Visual Effects Society in 2019. In addition, they have freelanced as a CG Artist and Compositing Artist, working on projects such as Spring Flower and To Pimp A Butterfly.
Ziming Liu earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Visual Effects from Savannah College of Art and Design. This educational endeavor took place from 2012 to 2014.
