Eric Friedman

Eric Friedman is an experienced professional in the fields of strategy, compliance, and risk management, currently serving as Head of Strategy and Compliance at Themis since April 2025. Prior to this, Eric held roles including BaaS Compliance Lead at Lead and Third Party Risk Management at Column, focusing on fintech partnerships. Eric's expertise in compliance was further developed during tenure at Robinhood as Payments Compliance Manager and at Metropolitan Commercial Bank as Global Payments Compliance Manager, where due diligence on fintech companies was a key responsibility. Eric's career began at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. in various compliance and risk management roles, and included an auditing position with the Office of the Auditor General in Rhode Island and an internship at Oppenheimer & Co. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island.
