Nona Farahnik Yadegar has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2016, they worked at Snap Inc. where they held various roles including Director of Product Design and Director of Platform Policy & Social Impact. Prior to that, they were the Head of Platform Policy at Snap Inc. from 2018 to 2020 and the Head of Trust & Safety from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, Nona also co-founded and became the Chairwoman of Origin, a women's physical therapy company. Before that, they served as the Director of Trust & Safety at Whisper App from 2014 to 2016. Nona also worked as an Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2013 to 2014. In addition, they worked as a Campaign Manager for the Tim Wu Campaign for Lt. Gov of NY in 2014. Nona Farahnik Yadegar attended Duke University from 2004 to 2008, where they received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued their education further at Columbia Law School from 2009 to 2012, and successfully obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree.
