Lydia Okpaefi

Lydia Okpaefi has diverse work experience spanning several industries. Lydia currently serves as a Finance Manager at Thepeer since September 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. for three years from February 2018 to August 2021, fulfilling various roles including Branch Operations (Non-Financial, Treasury Officer, ATM Champion).

From 2016 to 2018, Lydia was employed at Stanbic IBTC where they held the position of Complaints: Account Reconciliation and Assurance. In this role, they were responsible for reviewing and investigating customer complaints, managing and reviewing customer complaints related to bank charges, and implementing measures to mitigate customer complaints. Lydia also provided litigation and debt recovery support and proposed process improvement strategies.

Before joining Stanbic IBTC, Lydia worked as an Internal Auditor at Corporate Affairs Commission from August 2014 to 2015. Lydia'sduties included collecting, analyzing, and examining the commission's financial records, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and preparing findings reports.

Prior to that, Lydia gained experience as a Customer Service Executive at Sivik Holdings Nigeria Limited from August 2013 to July 2014. In this role, they played a key role in expanding the company's revenue base, ensuring quality customer service, and handling customer inquiries and complaints.

Lydia's early work experience includes serving as the Treasurer of the National Association of Banking and Finance Students (UNN chapter) from May 2012 to May 2013, where they managed the association's annual budget and facilitated timely payment of dues by university students. Lydia also completed a Public Sector Internship at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd in August 2012.
