Merene Philip

Merene Philip is an experienced Patent Agent currently managing Therabody’s global patent portfolio, ensuring alignment with business strategies and new product launches. At Therabody since April 2022, Merene collaborates with the General Counsel, Product Development team, scientists, and engineers to assess patentability, prepare applications, and conduct competitor analyses. Prior experience includes working at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox from March 2017 to March 2022, focusing on patent applications in electrical, computer, and biomedical technologies and participating in inter partes review proceedings. Merene also served as a Patent Agent/Technical Specialist at Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. from March 2014 to February 2017, preparing patent applications for various clients. Earlier roles include Technical Advisor at Conley Rose, P.C. and Graduate Student Researcher at Texas A&M University, where Merene conducted biomaterials research. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Specialization from Southern Methodist University.
