Daphne Townsend

Daphne Townsend is a Research and Development Engineer at Therapeutic Monitoring Systems Inc. since 2012, currently focused on developing context-aware algorithms for sleep apnea monitoring in smart homes. Prior to this role, Daphne was a PhD student at Carleton University from 2007 to 2012, where involvement included serving as a Research Assistant and Contract Instructor for IMD 1000. Additionally, experience includes work as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa from 2005 to 2007 and as a Computer Scientist at PWGSC, responsible for managing software updates and data backup planning from January to August 2005. Daphne holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Systems and Computer Engineering from Carleton University, obtained in 2011.
