Mary Hiles

Mary Hiles has over 25 years of professional experience in data engineering, logistics, data analysis, and software engineering. Mary began their career in 1986 at Kennametal Inc as a Programmer/CIM Specialist, where they coordinated and developed CIM software to link customer service centers, engineering, manufacturing, and corporate business systems on a global basis. In 1992, Mary joined Siemens Energy and Automation as a Team Leader/Senior Programmer/Analyst, where they developed engineering design automation tools and interfaces to ERP using ESQL/C and Informix on Windows and UNIX platforms.

In 1994, Mary joined Strategic Technologies Inc as a Team Leader, Product Data Management, where they implemented Product Data Management systems at customer sites. Mary managed all implementation resources for projects and used Metaphase PDM engine and customized heavily with C language and SQL scripts to ORACLE. Mary then joined Kennametal Inc in 1997 as a Project Leader/Staff Software Engineer, where they were the technical lead for Product Data Management project implementation and integration into existing Manufacturing and Engineering systems.

In 1999, Mary joined Strategic Technologies Inc, Company as a Consultant, Product Data Management. Mary was a consultant and team lead on various projects that focused on implementing Product Data Management (PDM) & Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems with Fortune 500 clients. Mary then joined UPMC in 2014 as a Solutions Architect, where they collaborated with the Enterprise Analytics team in managing/integrating medical data from multiple sources and developing a 360-degree view of the patient.

In the same year, Mary joined Knowledge Management Inc (KMI) / The Columbia Group (contract change) as a Principal Data Analyst. Mary performed ground equipment data analysis to support equipment distribution, retention, and retirement planning; designed new enterprise-level shared data environment; and conducted analysis of alternatives. Mary then joined Falconwood, Incorporated in 2020 as a Senior Logistics Analyst before joining Therigy as a Senior Manager Data Engineering in 2021.

Mary Hiles attended Lehigh University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering. Mary then went on to North Carolina State University, where they completed a Certificate in Computer Programming in Computer Science from 1991 to 1992, and a Master of Science in Management/MIS Concentration from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, Mary has obtained two certifications: a Certified Data Management Associate from DAMA in May 2016, and an Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate (OCA) from Oracle Corporation in August 2013.
