Chenchen Yang

Chenchen Yang is a highly experienced bioinformatics professional specializing in cancer genomics and assay development. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific since March 2025, Chenchen oversees software quality assurance for Genexus/Ion Reporter. Previously, as the Bioinformatics Lead and Team Lead at Mission Bio from July 2021 to April 2025, Chenchen managed over 20 Pharma Assay Development projects and enhanced custom panel designs, significantly improving customer satisfaction. Chenchen's experience also includes project leadership and data mining at Thermo Fisher Scientific, as well as research roles at the University of Southern California and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, contributing to cancer biology projects and earning multiple accolades. Chenchen holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Genomics from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
