Edgar Timar

Edgar Timar is a cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in IT security and digital forensics. Currently serving as a Senior IT Security Engineer and DFIR Threat Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Edgar played a pivotal role as the first hire of the DFIR team in EMEA. Prior to this, Edgar was a Senior IT Security Analyst at GE Digital and a Cybersecurity Incident Responder at GE-CIRT. Edgar's career also includes positions as a Security Analyst at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions HU, a Freelance Security Analyst/Administrator, and various roles in system administration and network engineering. Edgar is actively pursuing further education in cybersecurity through notable institutions including SANS Technology Institute and Black Hills Information Security, alongside multiple certifications in IT security and networking. Edgar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Information Technology from Gábor Dénes Egyetem and has a strong foundation in technical and information technology from various educational endeavors.
