Tyler Jacks

Tyler Jacks, PhD, is a prominent figure in cancer research and leadership, currently serving as the President of Break Through Cancer since February 2021, where the organization focuses on accelerating research and clinical trials for deadly cancers through collaboration among top research centers. In addition to this role, Jacks holds multiple prestigious positions, including Member of the Board of Directors at Amgen and Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Co-Founder and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board at Dragonfly Therapeutics, Inc. Jacks is also the David H. Koch Professor of Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has served on various advisory boards, including The Lustgarten Foundation and Skyhawk Therapeutics. Previously, Jacks was the Founding Director of the MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research and an Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Jacks earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Harvard University and a Doctor's degree from the University of California, San Francisco.
