Jenny Samfat

Co-Founder & CEO at Thermodata

Jenny Samfat is the co-founder and CEO of Thermodata Corporation. Jenny has a background in big data and automation and has used their skills to develop a service platform on Azure to store and facilitate analysis of accurate data collected by the company.

Jenny founded Thermodata in 2011 with the goal of automating the temperature calibration process in laboratory settings. After four years of perfecting their goal to meet ISO/IEC 17025 standards, Jenny and their team developed a service platform on Azure that would enable volume throughput at a fraction of the costs of their competitors.

In 2018, Jenny and their team rebranded BrightSentinel to better reflect their focus on offering a more rounded service that fills the gap of manual activities in labs, rather than offering primarily temperature sensors. They moved to the Netherlands to boost their growth in Europe and discovered first-hand issues related to expanding in this region. To date, they have achieved accuracy of ±0.06⁰ C in the range of 0 - 50⁰ C as a standard for their calibrated sensors and are developing new precise temperature hardware to add to their service.

Jenny Samfat has a Bachelor of Business in Banking & Finance from Monash University.

Some direct reports include Joseph Cezar - Software Engineer, Karen Naranjo - Chief Growth Officer, and Robert Keith - Co-Founder & CTO.
