Ryan Tarkington

Ryan Tarkington is currently the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Thermon Group. Prior to joining Thermon, Ryan was at Rowan Companies where they served as Senior Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary. While at Rowan, Ryan managed and developed the corporate secretary and corporate securities legal functions. Ryan also oversaw Rowan’s U.S. periodic reporting obligations under the New York Stock Exchange, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and the UK Companies Act of 2006. In addition, Ryan developed and managed Rowan’s annual general meeting and proxy statement solicitation process.

Before joining Rowan, Ryan was at Paragon Offshore where they served as Associate General Counsel. During their time at Paragon, Ryan was responsible for managing the company’s litigation portfolio, handling all aspects of commercial litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through trial. Ryan also advised the business on a variety of legal issues, including contract negotiation and interpretation, regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.

Ryan received their J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and their B.A. from Texas A&M University.

Ryan Tarkington received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rice University before going on to earn their J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.

Ryan Tarkington reports to Bruce Thames, President & CEO. They work with David Buntin - Senior Vice President, Thermon Heat Tracing, Kevin Fox - Vice President, Corporate Development, and James A. Pribble II - Senior Vice President, Thermon Heating Systems.
