Erik Krämer is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur in the field of lightweight structures and thermoplastic composites, currently serving as an Associate Professor at both the ThermoPlastic Composites Application Center (TPAC) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences since April 2024. With extensive experience as Acting Technical Director, Senior Research Associate, and PhD Candidate at the ThermoPlastic Composites Research Center (TPRC) from 2016 to 2024, Erik has garnered recognition for research conducted as part of the TPRC COMPeTE project, achieving four awards for best master thesis. Previous roles include Technical Advisor for Solar Team Twente, contributing to successful solar vehicle projects, and an internship at ASML where Erik focused on mechanical analysis. Education credentials include a PhD in Thermoplastic Composites, an MSc in Mechanical Engineering (cum laude), and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, all from the University of Twente. Additionally, Erik is the founder of 3Dprintfoto, specializing in lithographic 3D printed photos.
