Wolfgang Schwandner

Wolfgang Schwandner is the Managing Director at Thermosome. Wolfgang has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding various positions in management and operations.

Wolfgang started their career as a major shareholder and CEO of ZYO Pharma AG from 2001 to 2003. Wolfgang then went on to found Omnicare Pharma GmbH in 2003, where they served as Managing General Partner until 2013. During this time, they also founded ONXESS Pharmaceuticals GmbH and Zytocare GmbH, serving as Managing General Partner of both companies from 2005 to 2012.

In 2012, they joined Arnika Beteiligungen GmbH as a Partner before moving to otocare GmbH / Munich Business Services GmbH in 2013. Wolfgang became Managing Director of Thermosome GmbH in 2015.

Wolfgang Schwandner was educated at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Biology. Wolfgang also has a Diploma in biology from the Technical University of Munich, specializing in developmental biology, biochemistry, tropical ecology, and scientific photography.

They work with Martin Hossann - Co-Founder & Principal Scientist, Uwe Michaelis - COO, and Lars Lindner - Co-Founder & Clinical Advisor. Wolfgang Schwandner reports to Pascal Schweizer, Co-Founder & CEO & CFO.
