Calvin Gerling

Calvin Gerling has a diverse work experience in the software development field. Calvin started their career in 2015 as a Scholarship Student at Unisinos, where they maintained an Android application to assist people with disabilities using public transportation services.

In 2016, Calvin worked as a Software Engineer at CWI Software, where they maintained REST APIs and clients for companies in the health and retail sectors. Calvin also participated in a bootcamp called "Projeto Crescer" that focused on teaching full-stack web development using Java and C#.

From 2018 to 2019, Calvin worked as a Software Engineer at Deskfy, a small startup focused on marketing teams. There, they led engineering efforts to improve overall service performance, security, and architecture. Calvin also optimized the SVG rendering pipeline and built an online file storage service.

In 2019, Calvin joined Ambush as a Software Engineer, working remotely as a consultant for a medium-sized fitness company in the US. Calvin actively contributed to improving test coverage and resiliency of the client's system, led the integration with Apple Store for in-app purchases, migrated the client's payment provider to use Stripe, and is currently creating a new micro-service system.

Most recently, in 2023, Calvin joined theScore as a Software Developer.

Calvin Gerling obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Software Technology/Technician from IFSUL - Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense. Calvin completed their education at this institution from 2015 to 2018.
