Kevin Truong

Sales & Partnership Strategist, Esports at theScore

Kevin Truong has a diverse work experience in the esports industry. Kevin currently works at theScore as a Sales & Partnership Strategist, where they are responsible for driving partnership revenue growth for theScore Esports. Kevin develops brand proposals and leads cross-functional collaboration in crafting strategic plans and budgets.

In 2023, Kevin will also be a Professor at Seneca College, teaching Business in Esports.

Prior to their current role, Kevin was a Manager of Esports at MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership) in 2022.

Kevin also has experience as a Head of Esports & Gaming at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, where they built and launched an initiative to raise funds for cancer research through gaming communities.

Kevin founded Strange Gaming Group in 2018 and served as a Board Member at Bravo Whiskey Alpha from 2021 to 2023.

Kevin started their career at Medcan in 2014, working in various roles including Product Associate, Inside Sales Agent, Sales Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator - Internship.

Kevin also worked as a Performance Coach in Esports at the University of Toronto from 2018 to 2020.

Kevin Truong attended Toronto Metropolitan University from 2011 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a major in Marketing & Finance. In addition to their formal education, Kevin has also obtained additional certifications, including Crucial Conversations from VitalSmarts in February 2020, and High Performance Mindset from Compete to Create in June 2019.
