Andrea Varga

Andrea Varga has worked in the tech industry since 2006. Andrea started as a Software developer at Development Euro Service in 2006. In 2008, they became a Research assistant in Multiple choice question generation at the University of Wolverhampton. Andrea then moved on to become a Data Scientist at Swiss Re in 2014 and at CUBE Global in 2015. Currently, they are a Senior NLP Engineer at Theta Lake since 2021.

Andrea Varga obtained their Baccalaureate from The Kölcsey Ferenc National College in 1998-2002, followed by a Bachelor of Computer Science from Universitatea “Babeș-Bolyai” from Cluj-Napoca in 2002-2006. Andrea then completed a Masters in Computer Science and Intelligent Systems/Artificial Intelligence from the same university in 2007-2008. Finally, they earned their PhD in machine learning and information extraction from The University of Sheffield in 2010-2014.
